AMAX Delivers Liquid-Cooled Platforms for AMD MI350 GPU Clusters
AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su sets the pace at Advancing AI 2025 as AMAX confirms liquid-cooled, MI350-powered rack builds tailored for APAC-scale deployment.
AMAX, a global provider of advanced compute platforms, has confirmed its latest server and rack solutions will support AMD’s Instinct MI350 GPU family. These platforms are designed to meet the thermal and density demands of modern AI cluster deployments, with a particular focus on liquid cooling integration.
The LiquidMax RackScale 128, AMAX’s flagship offering, supports up to 128x MI355X or MI325X GPUs per 51U cabinet. It incorporates cold plate cooling, centralized 48V DC power distribution, and CDU infrastructure for heat transfer and dissipation. These design features are built to sustain performance under AI training and inference workloads at scale.
AMD’s MI350 Series, based on the CDNA 4 architecture, delivers significant improvements in FLOPs and memory bandwidth compared to its predecessor. AMAX’s liquid-cooled systems enable operators to unlock the GPUs’ full performance potential while reducing power and cooling costs.
The introduction of these builds is timely as more operators in Southeast Asia, India, and Australia pursue dense GPU cluster configurations to support LLM training, scientific modeling, and AI-driven analytics. These deployments often take place in co-location environments with strict thermal and energy limits, making liquid cooling a necessity.
With support for both air- and liquid-cooled configurations, AMAX is offering flexibility for staged retrofits as well as new AI-native builds. The company expects demand to grow significantly as AI infrastructure shifts toward higher density and more energy-aware deployments across APAC.
