NEA Launches Global SMR Dashboard for Real-Time Project Tracking
NEA’s Expert Group on SMRs leads global benchmarking efforts with the launch of a live dashboard tracking 70+ next-gen reactor projects.
The OECD’s Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) has launched a new digital dashboard to monitor global progress in small modular reactor (SMR) development. Released on July 16, 2025, the tool tracks 74 SMR designs and deployments, offering real-time updates and benchmarking capabilities.
The dashboard categorizes projects by technology type, development status, and licensing stage. It is designed to inform policy decisions, investor strategies, and public understanding of SMR readiness.
Beyond technical specifications, the platform provides insights on regulatory frameworks, financing models, workforce preparedness, and public engagement. This resource is expected to become a key reference for national energy agencies, utilities, and vendors planning future deployments.
The NEA’s initiative reflects growing interest in SMRs as a scalable and reliable solution for decarbonizing energy systems, particularly in rapidly developing regions of Asia.
