Philippines Launches First GPU-Ready Hyperscale Data Center in Sta. Rosa
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and PLDT Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan inaugurate the Philippines’ first GPU-powered hyperscale facility in Sta. Rosa.
On April 28, 2025, ePLDT, a subsidiary of PLDT Group, launched the country’s first AI-dedicated, GPU-powered hyperscale data center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Named VITRO Sta. Rosa (VSR), the facility offers GPU-as-a-Service and supports high-density AI workloads for enterprises, government agencies, and global hyperscalers.
With 50 MW of IT load and carrier-neutral architecture, the facility is aligned with DICT’s digital infrastructure roadmap. Government leaders, including DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy and National Innovation Council representatives, attended the launch.
Strategically located near Manila and subsea cable routes, VSR enhances the Philippines’ competitiveness in regional AI services, offering an alternative for GPU cloud sourcing amid global shortages.
