Executives from B.Grimm Power and Digital Edge at the announcement of their planned 100MW data center in Thailand, part of a broader push to integrate clean energy into digital infrastructure.
Thai power producer B.Grimm Power has partnered with Digital Edge DC, a Singapore-based data center platform, to invest approximately $1 billion in a 100-megawatt data center in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor.
The project is expected to begin operations in late 2026 and will cater to hyperscalers and enterprises with high AI and cloud computing requirements. The data center will offer colocation, interconnection, and hybrid cloud solutions.
John Freeman, CEO of Digital Edge, stated that Thailand’s digital infrastructure market is entering a period of rapid growth, and the new data center is positioned to support national and regional digital transformation goals.
Dr. Harald Link, President of B.Grimm Power, emphasized the integration of renewable energy into the project, reflecting Thailand’s push for sustainability in its technology and energy sectors. Additional investments for further data center projects are under consideration, potentially adding 200MW of capacity.
The collaboration reflects a growing trend among energy companies in Southeast Asia to participate directly in the development of digital infrastructure.
